In 1950, Gretsch introduced an assortment of die-cast tension rod casings which today are referred to as a drum lug. The newly designed G5474 lug gave the look of Gretsch drums an immediate facelift and over 70 years later this classic and timeless lug is one of the key reasons why Gretsch USA Custom, Broadkaster, and Brooklyn drums are so visually stunning.
The G5474 lug is in very high demand as an aftermarket part thanks to the many vintage Gretsch collectors and drummers who enjoy restoring their older Gretsch kits.
