Originally called the "Fast-Tension Snare Bracket, the Micro-Sensitive Butt Plate has been around during the same time as the MS throw off (1950).
The G5381 comes stock whenever you order a USA snare drum with a Micro Sensitive Throw off. The MS butt plate is also available as an aftermarket sales part.
