Originally designed by Gretsch artist Andy Florio in 1950, the Gretsch Micro-Sensitive Throw off is one of the most distinctive components in the Gretsch parts assortment.
At the top of the lever is a buttom which unlocks the handle allowing you do disengage the snare wires. The large knurled wheel at the base of the handle finely tunes in the snare wires to your desired tension. Add the vintage Gretsch logo on it's body and you have one classy looking throw off.
The Micro-Sensitive Throw off is available on any wood and some select metal USA snare drums and it's offered as an aftermarket sales part.
