When we explain the characteristics of the Gretsch 6.5x14” Solid Maple snare drum a few words such as “rich”, “dynamic”, and “adaptable” help when describing this snare drum. “Rich”… meaning Gretsch solid maple has a very clean yet warm pure maple tone with fairly dark to bright qualities, depending on your tuning preference. Dynamic”…meaning that Gretsch solid maple can be comfortably used for ultra-quiet to very loud musical settings. “Adaptable…meaning that when you’re using your Gretsch Solid Maple for a Classical performance in a ball room or a Rock show at an outdoor festival, this drum will effortlessly adjust to each style of music at any setting. Our Maple single-ply wood snare drums are USA made in our Ridgeland, SC facility and all models are finished in clear Nitro Cellulose gloss. Choose any color from the USA Custom palette.
